SISK

regina, sk.
dark progressive/deep tech-house

Craig Sisk has remained an enduring and dedicated dj, promoter, producer and all around lover of electronic music for well over a decade.

Inspired by the many colourful people involved with the Winnipeg electronic music scene in the 1990's, he began collecting vinyl records of various genres and started opening dj slots at clubs and parties in 2000. In the spring of 2000, he was asked to board operate and co-host the weekly radio show "Subterania" on 101.5 FM and then later "Symptom Radio". These experiences helped him to break into a competitive Winnipeg electronic scene and then soon after became an established dj at many of the cities top events and club nights.

In 2001, Sisk came together with Nathan Zahn and UFO to re-form Symptom Technologies and their first show together "Innovator Incognito" at Wellington's nite club was a huge success. Sisk's event production work with Symptom spanned 5 years and over 20 shows; highlights include Lost in Bass 1 and 2, Forbidden Planet, Death Becomes Me, The Rings of Saturn and The Underground City Series among many others. These shows gave him even more exposure and opened the doors to many out of town performances, such as in most major western Canadian cities, in Ontario and the US.

In 2006, Sisk relocated to Regina, Sk where he began promotion and stage work with the Connect Festival and throwing his own events under Wing Beat Frequency. In 2009, he started taking up music production and has played out a few of his own remixes and re-edits. He currently holds a monthly residency at Gabbo's "Decibel Frequency" and also produces the popular monthly "I Guess We're Floating" at Selam nitespot.

For Connect XV, Sisk's main performance will consist of an intensely moving progressive and techno dj set full of exclusive remixes, re-edits and original material. A deep and eclectic tech-house set is planned for his secondary set this year, continuing where he left off last year's critically praised performances.
