Trevor Wyatt aka Dj Spilt Milk has been a vinyl junkie since the late 80’s when he would spend his hard earned paper route money on hip hop 12”s from local Edmonton record shops. In 1995 he started his first club night “Wildstyle” with fellow dj’s Aamir, Shasta, and Sync. The night was held on the 7th floor of the U of A Students Building and was unique to Edmonton in that it featured a mish mash of styles from hip hop to techno to early breakbeat.

"Wildstyle" started off a multitude of promotional projects for Spilt Milk including self-starting over 20 different club nights and hundreds of special events as a dj/promoter. He has promoted and or opened for such artists as Q-Bert, Mixmaster Mike, Swamp, Z-Trip, Radar, Coldcut, Craze, Scissorkicks, Hyper, Freaknasty, Tayo, Atomic Hooligan, Dj Yoda, P-Trix, and many others. He has previously been a multi year resident for such annual events as Nexus (Edmonton), Connected (Calgary), PPM (Saskatoon), and Connect (Regina).

In 1995, Spilt started guest hosting on Tryptomene’s long running radio show “Catch the Beat” on CJSR FM 88.5, and eventually took over as host. The show still runs these days Saturdays 4-6 pm MST with Tryptomene resuming his duties as host after a 6 year hiatus. In 1999, after obtaining a Radio Television Diploma from NAIT, Trevor became interim production manager at CJSR and eventually took over as Sales and Marketing Manager.

In 1998, he helped open Edmonton’s first dj specialty vinyl shop "Tone Def" inside Colourblind Clothing on Whyte Ave. During this period, Spilt Milk started "Basskwake Crew" with fellow dj’s Slacks, Celcius, Echo, Playbwoy, and MC Deadly. "Basskwake" threw several events including "Heartbeats" featuring dj Z-Trip, the "Shellshock" DnB series and they brought Q-bert to the long running hip hop club night "Concept".

In early 2000, Foosh Records was opened on Whyte Avenue where Spilt Milk took care of the breakbeat section and helped promote the shop’s events and clubnights including "Trademark" with Foosh Owner Rob Tryptomene. "Trademark" @ Lush brought in a large number of guests in all styles of music including Robb G, Jelo, The Incredible Melting Man, Dave the Drummer, Misstress Barbara, Roland the Bastard, Tommy Illfingas, Matty, MC Effect, Sync and Lady J, Fudge & Jadybug, Sodapop, Wicked Lester, Aaron Liberator, Raissa, Rob Solo, GTM, RR Fierce, Mike Downey, Lab 4, Jon Delerious, Slim, Ritchie Hawtin, Mhonolink, OS/2, Five Alive, DDR, Chris Liberator, Julian Liberator, Gizelle, SOTO, Paranoid Jack, Slinky and others. At roughly the same time, Spilt was also promoting and djing weekly at "Roots" another very successful clubnight held at the Backroom Vodka Bar. "Roots" focused on bringing attention to local hip hop dj's and turntablists, and also held several special events including the ITF Alberta Eliminations, P-Trix, Dj Yoda, Marty McFly, and Dolo.

In 2001, Spilt Milk teamed up with some local promoters to start "The Union," a new production company that promoted any type of event from Amon Tobin, Coldcut/Ztrip, to DMC and ITF eliminations, to Earthdance parties, to other all night dance parties. In 2001, Spilt also began a stint writing the Remix column for weekly newspaper See Magazine bringing his love of music to print.

In 2001, Spilt Milk started "Capital City Funk", a record label dedicated to promoting western Canadian talent in breakbeat, downtempo and house. The first 4 track EP - CCF 001 was released in June 2002 and featured Tripswitch and Spilt Milk’s productions.

In 2002, Spilt Milk moved to Vancouver & helped start a North Vancouver record store called Vinyllab. A poor location caused Vinyllab unfortuneately to not last much longer than 8 months.

In Vancouver, Spilt has held residencies at Shine, Sonar, and Picadilly Pub, The Black Frog, and Maxine's Hideaway and also plays guest spots at special events around Vancouver. He has also promoted several parties including Pac Jam, Homestyle Gravy, and Shadow Jugglers Boat Cruise.

Always busy, Spilt has also been devoting alot of his time to music production for Film and Television. Check the Media section to view his latest projects.

In 2008, Spilt officially joined the Homebreakin Records crew, and will soon be releasing tracks produced with Neighbour on Homebreakin Records. Also, Watch for the music video for 'You Can Get With This' to be completed in early 2009.
