You may also know him as 'Mr. Swingtown' (ask him or his girl'S). He has been around the electronic music scene for the last 10 years, and has play long side some of the top DJ's in the world. Because of his skills and how he handles himself (drunk) he has become a local favorite and has quickly become one of Canada's premiere DJ's (he likes to think so). J.A.DJ has become a well known around Canada by playing some of most well known music festivals (woot connect), parties, and clubs. If you were at Connect 12 and 13, you may recall the unforgettable dj set of J.A.DJ feature drums by Dislexik. Connect is a festival of surprises, and so is J.A.DJ’s set, one that will leave you wanting more and wishing the night would never end. And he wont let it end for you always waking you up to scream and yell so and so is playing main stage and you got to come see.

J.A.DJ. Is no longer Just Another DJ, J.A.DJ got his first taste of electronic music from his brother (Dylan Friesen) by bringing home the Mortal Combat Movie Soundtrack back in 1995, only being 14 at the time J.A.DJ started looking for electronic music in his local music stores , not finding much at the start he didn’t give up and in the next few years he had found Albums by Daft Punk, The Prodigy, Scooter , Praga Khan and Tony De Vit . after a few years of listening to the sounds he wanted to experience theses beats for himself getting involved with the local party scene, in early 2000 J.A.DJ started collecting records and with his friend Adam Bradly ( DJ Digaboo ) started mixing at house parties , as the year went on J.A.DJ got some help from local dj’s Sugar Daddy, S2 and Darjis and with there help in teaching him the basics to being a dj he finaly got his first show in September 2000 and has now expanded his record collection to include such styles as House, Electro, Techno, Trance and Breaks (along with the tech/house, tech/trance, electro/house, etc included). Because of his of his skills and how he handles himself he has become a local favorite and has quickly become one of Canada's premiere DJ's. J.A.DJ has become a well known around Canada by playing some of most well known music festivals, parties, and clubs. J.A.DJ has headlined along side some of the top DJ's in the world, such as Baby Anne, Matt Darey, DJ Dan , Bryan Cox , Far Too Loud , DJ Garth ,Luke Mckeehan ,Josh the Funky 1, DJ BAM BAM, Deadmau5, Aquasky, Mat The Alien, Deko-Ze , Rogue Element, Mr. C, Kid Beyond, Eskmo, Noisia, along with several others. In the last ten years J.A.DJ has been a main staple in the Saskatchewan Electronic Music scene helping in almost every aspect form DJ’ing to promoting and everything else in between His stage presence, pulsing beats and tight, but still technical skills always leave the crowd, not only breathless, but wanting more, a must see.
